As of 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2020, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has lifted the Restricted Fire Zone designation that had been put in place last month across Ontario’s fire region.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry would like to thank the public for their cooperation. Please continue to remain diligent in reducing the number of human-caused fires during these challenging times.
Although the restricted fire zone imposed by ministry has been lifted, some municipalities may still have municipal fire bans in effect. Please check with your municipal officials and continue to respect any local fire restrictions that may be in place.
