Firefighters rush to apartment building on Gore Street (5 photos)

Local group said it offered help to occupants

Sault Fire Services responded to a Saturday-night fire in the 100 block of Gore Street

Initial call came in around 9:30 p.m.

Firefighters found smoke pouring from the windows of upstairs apartments when they arrived.

Occupants of the building were already outside at that time.

Addictions and Mental Health Advocates said it opened their office to keep the people from the fire warm.

An earlier fire occurred at the same address in August, 2020.
