A Pineshores Road home was completely destroyed and a neighbouring camp received extensive damage during a fire in Goulais River Sunday afternoon.
Goulais Fire & Rescue Chief Jeff Bowen told SooToday.com that the blaze was started by a debris fire near the permanent residence (shown).
He said the second structure sustained major smoke, fire and water damage.
Goulais firefighters and four vehicles were dispatched around 2:15 yesterday.
Two units from the Aweres Volunteer Fire Department provided additional help.
Bowen said firefighters were at the location until about 8 last evening.
One crew member was treated at the scene for heat exhaustion.
A property owner was treated on-site for smoke inhalation.
The investigation has been turned over to the Ministry of Natural Resources.
