NEWS RELEASE

******************* Invisible People: A Documentary on Homelessness in Sault Ste. Marie will be presented on Tuesday October 25 at 7:30 p.m. at Algoma University in the Great-West Life Amphitheatre (Room NW200 in the new ICT building).

Who are the homeless?

Why are they homeless?

Who is providing help?

This film explores these questions and more.

Interviews with those who have experienced homelessness and those who are involved with alleviating it are interspersed with thoughts about poverty and the stigma surrounding it in this powerful 45-minute video written and produced by Jesse Doehler-Knox, an Algoma University student.

The doors open at 7 p.m.

The video will be followed with a 15-minute break for refreshments and an open forum discussion with people interviewed in the film and the people who put the film together.
