Despite the foul weather the Algoma Region experienced on Saturday, one local maple syrup producer says it has decided to keep the syrupy celebrations going at their sugar shack.
Hogan's Homestead says it will open today – Sunday, April 2 – for the final day of their Maple Weekend.
They invited everyone to come and get sweet at the Hogan's Homestead Sugar Shack. The event runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1157 Thielman Rd. in Goulais River.
During today's event, visitors can enjoy indoor and outdoor guided tours, mini Easter photos with Meaghan Kent Photography, a local marketplace, learning experiences with Thrive Tours and Epic Forest School along with treats from Beaver tails and many kid-friendly activities.
The event is billed as family and pet-friendly, with free entry for all.
First 20 vehicles through the gates at 10 a.m. will receive swag bags, according to a news release.
