Mark Danby won $17,080 in the January 50/50 Grand Prize Draw

ARCH says a familiar face at the hospice has won $17,080 from the January 50/50 Grand Prize Draw with ticket #G-3055301.

When Mark Danby saw ARCH was calling him, he assumed it was work-related and didn’t pick up the phone. When he got the email with the winning ticket number, he realized he was the January Grand Prize winner.

Danby is a familiar face to the staff and volunteers at ARCH as he works for a company that services ARCH's appliances.

"We love to see his smiling face around the building, always going above and beyond to make sure the job got done efficiently and with lots of love," ARCH said in a news release.

Danby is a strong supporter of ARCH’s 50/50 and purchases on the first of every month and will continue to purchase tickets every month.

“We are so grateful for community supporters like Mark. Our 50/50 is such a great way to support the community and also enter in a chance to win the draw. Thank you Mark for your continued support,” said volunteer and project coordinator Jenna Polutanovich.

Early-bird draws take place on the second Wednesday of each month. Purchasing tickets in advance offers a chance at both the $1,000 Early Bird Prize and the end-of-month Grand Prize.

Tickets for the February ARCH 50/50 are on sale now at www.ARCH5050.ca

The winner’s jackpot has a guaranteed minimum of $9,999 and early bird ticket holders will have a chance at winning an additional $1,000.

Proceeds raised from the 50/50 go directly towards the care and support of hundreds of residents, community clients, and their families served by ARCH each year.

The deadline to purchase tickets for February’s Grand Prize Draw is Feb. 29 at 9:30 a.m.
