In 2025, Crime Stoppers is celebrating 40 years of serving Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District.

During that time, anonymous tips supplied to the organization have led to the solving of countless crimes.

Crime Stoppers says there are three main ways the community can get involved:

  • Submit a Tip: Report a crime anonymously by calling 1-800-222-8477 or visiting www.saultcrimestoppers.com
  • Become a Volunteer: Explore opportunities to help Crime Stoppers by submitting an application, which is available for download on our website under the “About Us” section.
  • Donate: Your donations support the operations of our tip line, the rewards, and crime prevention initiatives.

Crime Stoppers is actively seeking new volunteers.

“Whether by joining the Board of Directors or assisting with events, every contribution makes a difference,” it said in a news release.

One of the ways the organization is celebrating its four decades is by hosting a Youth Colouring Contest.

Kids of all ages are invited to colour the Anonymoose family.

“The contest is a fun way for kids to get involved and celebrate this milestone with their creativity while learning about the important role Crime Stoppers plays in keeping our community safe,” the organization said.

There are three age categories for participation:

  • Ages 5-7: Little Artists
  • Ages 8-11: Junior Creators
  • Ages 12-15: Teen Designers

How to Participate:

1. Download & Print Your Colouring Sheet: You can find your official Anonymoose Family colouring sheet at www.saultcrimestoppers.com. The page features a family of moose, ready for you to add your splash of colour!
