Tenaris confirmed Wednesday that seven of its employees at Tenaris Algoma Tubes have tested positive for COVID-19.

Algoma Public Health (APH) first declared a facility-wide COVID-19 outbreak at the tube mill Nov. 8.

“Algoma Public Health has performed contact tracing and those identified as close contacts are isolating. Employees who are able to work remotely are doing so. We are reinforcing our preventative safety measures, which we have upheld across all of our facilities since the onset of the pandemic,” the company stated Wednesday.

“The wellbeing of our employees continues to be our top priority and we encourage everyone on our team to get vaccinated,” Tenaris said.
