If you're a fan of Country Style coffee, tis the season to drop off a non-perishable item and save big on coffee.

From Dec. 1 to 14, coffee lovers are invited to participate in Country Style’s Can-A-Thon. Any customer who brings in a non-perishable food item can get a medium coffee for just $1. All donations collected will support the St. Vincent Place food bank.

“This Christmas season, let’s come together to spread joy and warmth to those in need,” said Country Style manager Matt Fronzi.

“Country Style is hosting this Can-A-Thon to support St. Vincent Place so that everyone can enjoy a hearty meal during the holidays. Every donation makes a difference and brings us closer to a brighter holiday season for our community.”

The St. Vincent Place food bank helps an average of about 235 families every month, and its Lunches for Learning program provides school lunch packages to 250 children every week. All non-perishable donations are welcome.

“We’re very grateful to Country Style for supporting us with this drive and to all the coffee lovers who will help to stock our shelves,” said Nat Cicchelli, St. Vincent Place executive director. “Unfortunately we know that the need isn’t going down, so every little bit helps.”

All non-perishable donations are welcome, but for a list of the items most needed by the food bank, visit the St. Vincent Place website at www.vincentplacessm.ca/donate or check the organization’s Facebook page @StVincentPlace for updates about its current needs.
