The City of Sault Ste. Marie operated outdoor boarded skating rinks and ice pads – Anna McCrea, Merrifield and Esposito rinks, Art Jennings Speed Skating Oval and the Clergue Park Skating Trail are open for the season. The outdoor ice surfaces will remain open weather permitting.

Current COVID-19 guidelines apply to all outdoor rink locations.
    •    Plan your visit accordingly. Conduct a self-assessment for COVID-19 symptoms before attending an outdoor ice surface/rink or skating trail.
    •    At the outdoor ice surface/ rink or trail, follow signage and markers posted at rink locations. Maintain a two metre (six feet) distance from those you do not live with and wear a mask or a face covering at all times even outdoors.
    •    In order to comply with provincial orders, hockey games, scrimmages, shinny and pick up hockey are prohibited. Hockey sticks, pucks and nets should not be on the ice at any time. Designated hockey rinks (Anna McCrea, Merrifield and Esposito rinks) will be used for skating only.
    •    Benches will be located outdoors to put skates on and off. Rinks with indoor change areas will be limited and users must wear facemasks, adhere to social distancing protocols and sign in for tracing purposes.
