City has cash to dole out for arts, culture, heritage initiatives

Anyone who missed out on the first round can now apply for the second intake of the city's 2024 Arts and Culture Assistance Program (ACAP). Completed application forms and supporting materials must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday April 2, 2024. 

Digital submissions are encouraged with the subject line: Arts and Culture Assistance Program Application. Applications may also be submitted in person or by mail to:

ACAP information sessions will take place on the following dates and times via Zoom:

  • Monday March 11 at 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Thursday March 21 at 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday March 26 at 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.

Applicants are encouraged to review the ACAP guidelines and speak with City staff prior to submitting their application. 

The ACAP program offers arts, culture and heritage funding through several grant streams including Project (Large and Small), Operational/Seed, Festival/Events (Large and Small) and Cultural Diversity to local and area arts, culture and heritage organizations, collectives/groups, and individuals who practice within or serve the community of Sault Ste. Marie.
