Christian and Kyleigh welcome Isla Ann Marie

Sault Ste. Marie Mayor Christian Provenzano and wife, Kyleigh Provenzano welcomed their first baby, a girl, Friday just after 4 p.m..

The mayor is sharing the news on social media, including a photograph of baby Isla Ann Marie Provenzano, shown.

"Kyleigh and I are happy to let everyone know that Isla Ann Marie Provenzano arrived just shortly after 4 p.m. on March 11," he says.

She and her mother and doing fantastic, Provenzano reports.

"Very special thanks to the tremendous nursing staff at SAH (especially Brittney) who were all exceptional," he said. "And thank you to all of our great family and friends who have welcomed our little girl with so much love."
