The City of Sault Ste. Marie is accepting proposals from interested parties to operate space in the newly expanded Northern Community Centre located at 556 Goulais Avenue.
“As part of the design process, it was determined additional space in the first and second level be made available to add amenities and improve the overall experience of users,” said Brent Lamming, director of community services. “This could present a great opportunity for entrepreneurs or an existing business looking to expand services. There has been great success at the John Rhodes Community Centre with tenants including a restaurant, sports training facility, gymnastics club and pro shop. We are excited to offer this opportunity to activate the new space in our community.”
In total, five spaces are available within the facility. Four on the second level will be available for any type of complementary business submission and one on the main level that is planned to be operated as a Pro Shop. Spaces on the second level can be combined as part of the submission.
Results of the Request for Proposal will be brought to council for approval with supporting lease agreements.
