WASHINGTON - (November 19) - Congressman Bart Stupak (D-Menominee) announced that the president has signed into law legislation Stupak authored to name the Iron Mountain Veterans Affairs facility after Oscar G. Johnson.
The following may be attributed to Stupak:
"A native of Dickinson County and the Upper Peninsula, Oscar Johnson's heroic actions reflect American bravery at its best, and I am pleased the president has signed this law to name the Iron Mountain Veterans Affairs facility in Oscar Johnson's honor. It is fitting that our nation honor one of the Upper Peninsula's home grown heroes in this manner."
