Brian Tremblay (shown) is the 2005 winner of the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce's Entrepreneur/ Business of the Year in Memory of Mike Rainone.

This award recognizes an entrepreneur or a small business that most successfully demonstrates a progressive attitude to employee relations, a positive public image, a reputation for excellence in customer service and contribution to the community. Brian Tremblay is a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography and has Fine Arts training from Sault College of Applied Arts & technology.

His award-winning work has been exhibited in many solo and group showings.

A tireless self promoter, Brian Tremblay has become a successful photographer with his work appearing in publications including Maclean's magazine, The Globe and Mail and the National Post.

Brian Tremblay Photography has been in business for twelve years.

He offers a full range of professional photography services from portraits, weddings, graduations, unique imagery to intimate portraiture.

Brian had been taking pictures since he was twelve and his passion for photographic expression grew with each passing year.

Pursuing a need for a change in employment and a need for creativity, Brian started out as a home-based business and has grown into his present location on Queen Street.

He attributes his growth to his high profile in the community and a well-planned marketing strategy.

Brian Tremblay has made valuable contributions towards employment through co-operative education programs that offer students real life work experience translating into a positive employment experience for both the company and the student.

His co-operative education commitment to employment reaches into the secondary and post secondary school levels.

He has had interns from Loyalist College in Belleville and the Art Institute of Colorado.

Brian Tremblay believes the only way to making a contribution to the community is to give of yourself and your services.

He has made an effort to keep this belief.

He has been involved in many organizations such as the Arts Council of Sault Ste. Marie & District, The Sault Ste. Marie Boxing Club, the Canadian Mental Health Association, The United Way, Cancer Gala Auction, Rotary Auction, Heart & Stroke Foundation's Art Auction to name a few.
