Elena Knox won $12,745 in the November 50/50 Grand Prize Draw

The ARCH hospice holds a special place in the heart of November's 50/50 draw winner.

Two years ago on Dec. 13, 2021, Elena Knox’s mom passed away at ARCH.

That's what made this month's call to the winner special, the hospice says, as Knox won $12,745 from the November 50/50 Grand Prize Draw with ticket number #E-2871639.

“I feel like we all have or will be touched by ARCH in one way or another," Knox said in a news release.

"My family was fortunate to have this care for my mom a few years ago. It’s truly a blessing for families. I always purchase tickets just to help make a difference, never expecting to win. Wow, what a great surprise at the perfect time of year. Very grateful!”

ARCH said it is grateful for the help it gets from the community to raise funds each month and loves to hear from its supporters about what they would you if they won.

“We are so grateful for supporters like Elena," said community engagement coordinator Sara Feltham. "This support creates a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.

"We are granted the opportunity to give back to our community through 50/50 and I am so grateful that I am not only able to meet them but hear their stories. We are so thankful for the love and support we receive from our community.”

Tickets for the December ARCH 50/50 are on sale now at www.ARCH5050.ca with additional prizes available for early-bird ticket purchasers.

Proceeds raised from the 50/50 go directly towards the care and support of hundreds of residents, community clients, and their families served by ARCH each year, the hospice said.

The deadline to purchase tickets for December’s Grand Prize Draw is Dec. 29 at 9:30 a.m.
