Sault Ste. Marie firefighters are trying to deal with two fire simultaneously this morning.
One is this house fire at 15 Abbott Street.
The other is a commercial garage fire on Base Line.
Faithful SooToday.com reader Virve Manniste sent in this photograph taken at the Abbott Street blaze.
"This is what we woke up to at 6 a.m. this morning in downtown Sault Ste. Marie," Manniste tells us. "All residents did get out of the house safely. The word is that some kitties did not. The fire is still burning strong at 7:50 a.m."
Abbott Street runs between Albert Street and Wellington Street East in the Gore Street area.
City Police confirm that all occupants of the house got out safely and are staying with family members.
