As a photojournalist, being afforded the opportunity to photograph a world leader is always an honour and often a very interesting experience. I've had the privilege of doing so a few times throughout my career with SooToday, but this was the first time I'd actually met a Prime Minister.
Following Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's interview with SooToday's James Hopkin back in March of this year, the PM graciously (and hilariously) introduced himself to me, shook my hand and thanked the both of us for our time. He also enjoyed a brief exchange about hockey – specifically the Soo Greyhounds – before moving on to the next interview.
