APH reports 33 new cases of COVID-19 in the Sault

That brings the total number of casesĀ  to 1,121 in the region since the beginning of the pandemic.

Algoma Public Health is reporting 33 new cases of COVID-19 today, all from the Sault Ste. Marie area.

That brings the total number of cases  to 1,121 in the region since the beginning of the pandemic.

Of these new cases, 13 were exposed due to close contact with a known case, eight have unknown origins and 12 are still being investigated.

There are currently 353 active cases and 16 hospitalizations in the Algoma Public Health region.

Regions reporting cases in the last 14 days are:

  • Sault Ste. Marie and area
  • Central and East Algoma
