APH hosting walk-up vaccination clinic this evening

Clinic is open to anyone aged 12 and older who require their first dose

Algoma Public Health (APH) is hosting a walk-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the APH office located at 294 Willow Ave.

No appointment is necessary and the clinic is open to anyone aged 12 and older who require a first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, the health unit posted to social media.

APH will be administering the Pfizer vaccine during this clinic.

The health unit also shared earlier today that a total of 118,975 vaccine doses have been administered throughout Algoma:
    •    74,762 people (or 78.8 per cent of the population) have received at least one dose
    •    39,978 people (or 42.1 per cent of the population) have been fully vaccinated

As of 3:30 p.m. today, there were still appointments available for upcoming vaccination clinics hosted at the GFL Memorial Gardens on July 16, 22, 24, 27, 29, 30 and 31.
