Annual 'Rose Day' fundraiser in full bloom

The 62nd annual Rose Day is coming up.

The Lions Club of Sault Ste. Marie is currently taking orders for the annual event, which supports Lions Sight Conservation and Community Projects.

Following is a release from the Lions Club outlining further details:

The Lions Club of Sault Ste. Marie is taking orders for its 62nd Annual Rose Day!  We are hoping the community will support Lions Sight Conservation and Community Projects and order flowers by June 1st.  

We are also reaching out to companies and groups to designate one person at their office or workplace to coordinate the sale of flowers to your staff, clientele or customers. 

You can include a “thinking of you” message, thank you to your teacher, best wishes, Happy Birthday or any other message with the flowers that are being delivered on June 21 to the person or business you specify. Free delivery is still being offered within Sault Ste. Marie city limits. 

Prices for flowers remain the same as last year and are as follows:  Roses $22/dozen, mixed bouquets $17 and carnations $14/dozen. To place an order for flowers by June 1 and brighten someone’s day, please contact Debbie at (705) 542-9372 or email her at [email protected]. 

Thank you to the Lions Club of SSM and dedicated Retired Teachers Association for volunteering their time in both school boards with the Vision Screening Program. Early identification with Senior Kindergarten students leads to timely referral, professional treatment, and improved or restored sight.
