Algoma Steel wants to talk to you about the environment

Information session set for June 20 at Northern Community Centre

Algoma Steel has announced it will hold a community open house on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

The come-and-go session will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Northern Community Centre, 556 Goulais Ave. in Sault Ste. Marie.

"Members of our team will be on hand to share information and discuss Algoma Steel’s transformation and modernization initiatives," the company said.

"Among many impactful projects to the community, Algoma Steel has committed to transforming its steel manufacturing process from integrated basic oxygen steelmaking to electric arc steelmaking."
