ARCH kicked off this year's Great Bucket List Challenge at Soo Axe Throwing

Algoma Steel is throwing its support behind a special fundraiser for our local hospice — one that organizers say inspires people to live their dreams and get out of their comfort zones.

The steelmaker is contributing $20,000 towards the Algoma Residential Community Hospice's Great Bucket List Challenge.

This year's list of challenges kicked off with axe throwing, while next week it ventures into multi-sport activities at the Up and Down Lounge.

ARCH Hospice is excited to announce our second year of partnering with Algoma Steel Inc. sponsoring ARCH’s Great Bucket List Challenge.

This three-year commitment and annual $20,000 contribution has allowed ARCH to host more community events, raising awareness and funds so that we can continue to provide compassionate end-of-life care for the Algoma District.

The Great Bucket List Challenge was started to encourage our community to live their dreams and inspire others, all while supporting ARCH Hospice.

With the help of Algoma Steel and our amazing local business owners, we can make dreams a reality!

The Great Bucket List Challenge has already had such an impact on our community, encouraging people to get out of their comfort zone and try something new. To see all our previous bucket listers and their stories, visit thegreatbucketlistchallenge.com/stories.

Last year, ARCH introduced The Great Bucket List Challenge Events each month, teaming up with local businesses who are eager to help our community members check items off their bucket lists.

We kicked off this year’s micro events with an evening of Axe Throwing at Soo Axe Throwing.

Our next micro event is at the Up and Down Lounge. Join us Friday, Feb. 23 for an evening of fun! Try out their Multi-Sport Bay which includes 36 different sports, football, baseball, hockey, basketball, game shooting, hunting, bowling and more! You can try out their Golf Simulator with your family and friends! Register here.

The fun doesn’t stop with the Challenge!

On June 22, the community is invited to The Bucket List Ball held at The Machine Shop. We’ll be hosting a large celebration featuring all of our Bucket Listers and their stories.

Included in the evening will be a delicious meal, great music, prize draws, and Live Bucket Listing where you can try once-in-a-lifetime experiences by donating to Hospice!

ARCH Hospice provides quality, compassionate care through end-of-life to Algoma District families at no cost.

The emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort of our residents and their loved ones is our highest priority.

We offer a home-away-from-home during one of life’s most important moments: the end-of-life journey.

We are so grateful for the love we receive from our community.

Thank you Algoma Steel for sponsoring The Great Bucket List Challenge.
