Algoma Public Health reports five new cases of COVID-19

These cases bring the pandemic total to 550 cases

Algoma Public Health has reported five new cases of COVID-19, four from the Sault Ste. Marie and area and one from North Algoma.

These cases bring the pandemic total to 550 cases.

Three of these cases were classified as close contact, meaning they were exposed to COVID-19 through contact from another known case. The other two cases are of unknown origins at this time.

These individuals were tested on Nov. 1 and 2, and all are currently self-isolating.

There are now 54 active cases of COVID-19 in the Algoma Public health Region and two hospitalizations.

These regions within Algoma Public Health have reported cases in the last 14 days:

  • Sault Ste. Marie and area
  • North Algoma
