Algoma Public Health has reported no new hospitalizations and 106 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, though these numbers may be underestimated due to limits on who can be tested.

Monday's numbers also include cases detected on the previous Saturday and Sunday.

Algoma Public health ran 1020 tests since the last report with a positivity rate of 10.3 per cent.

There are currently 372 cases of COVID-19 in the region, down from 420 in the last report, and 154 cases were resolved.

There are eight people in hospital that have tested positive for COVID-19, four of whom were admitted for COVID-19 related issues, and two people are currently in ICU with COVID-19.

Note: As of Dec. 31, 2021, the province has limited COVID-19 PCR testing to the highest risk populations. Furthermore, some people with mild or asymptomatic infection may not seek testing. Algoma Public Health states that the numbers of confirmed cases are an underestimate of the actual number of people with COVID-19 in the Algoma region.
