Algoma Public Health is reporting 27 new COVID-19 cases in the Algoma region, 25 in the Sault area and two in central and east Algoma.
The new cases put the number of COVID cases in the region since the start of the pandemic to 1,014.
There are 274 active cases in the region and 14 people currently hospitalized.
Of the new cases, the exposure category for 12 currently remains under investigation.
The exposure category for 12 others is close contact and the remaining three are under the unknown category, meaning the individual did not have any recent international travel or close contact with a known confirmed case.
13 individuals are currently self-isolating while APH is reporting that the status of the remaining 14 in under investigation.
