The Algoma Festival Choir and Board of Directors have cancelled this year's Christmas concert due to local COVID-19 rising numbers.

Refunds for tickets purchased will be available beginning on Nov. 29 at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre, or the ticket price can be donated to the choir.

For more information, please see the news release included below.

The Algoma Festival Choir and Board of Directors regrets to inform the public that their Christmas concert performances, scheduled for Friday, Dec. 3 and Saturday, Dec. 4 at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre, have been cancelled. Due to the rapid increase of COVID-19 cases and recent new restrictions put in place by Algoma Public Health, the Choir’s first priority is to keep our community safe during this uncertain time. Unfortunately under the new restrictions and from the advice of Algoma Public Health, the Choir is unable to provide a live stream performance at this time.

Refunds for tickets purchased will be available beginning Nov. 29 at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre. Should you wish, there is also the option of donating your Christmas concert ticket money to the Choir. Charitable donation receipts can be issued if you are interested. Please let the Bushplane Museum know and the Choir will be in touch about tax receipts.

Algoma Festival Choir wishes everyone a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season, and look forward to the day where we can safely perform again in person.
