Agawa Canyon tour train has a new $500-a-seat VIP section

Offering 'a luxury experience to passengers looking for a truly memorable ride,' the Stone Gardner will be available for booking this upcoming season

The Agawa Canyon Tour Train is adding a new "luxury experince" for the upcoming season: a private business car with an "unrivalled view" of the fall colours.

The new Stone Gardner is a wood-paneled car that holds 32 passengers. It is designed for group bookings, but if there is space individual tickets start at $500.

"Guest will experience a spacious theater-style seating with ample room to stretch your legs, sit back, relax and enjoy panoramic views of scenery," says a news release. "Passengers who ride the Stone Gardner will be treated to a first-class dining experience complete with a dedicated catering host, a private washroom, and the choice of food and drinks from a new menu provided this season by Searchmont Resort — one of Ontario's premier ski hills and resorts."

The Agawa Canyon Tour Train (ACTT) is pleased to offer a new, premium service car to our famous Tour Train fleet – the Stone Gardner. This new service will be available for the upcoming 2024 season.

The Agawa Canyon Tour Train is one of the largest tourism attractions in Northern Ontario taking passengers from across the globe on a one-day adventure from Sault Ste. Marie into the heart the Agawa Canyon, a canyon made famous by several of the iconic Group of Seven artists.

"We are excited to launch this new level of service for our customers wanting to ride the rails in a private business car. The beautiful, hand-crafted Stone Gardner coach will offer a luxury experience to passengers looking for a truly memorable ride to and from the Canyon” stated Wes Logan, Director of Operations.

The Stone Gardner is a wood-paneled theater car that will give a front row seat to some of Canada’s most scenic landscapes. In the fall, Passengers will get an unrivalled view of some of the most stunning and vibrant fall colors in the world. With capacity for up to 32 passengers, the Stone Gardner leaves passengers feeling immersed in the splendor of the truly incredible landscape of the Canadian Shield.

Guest will experience a spacious theater-style seating with ample room to stretch your legs, sit back, relax and enjoy panoramic views of scenery. Passengers who ride the Stone Gardner will be treated to a first-class dining experience complete with a dedicated catering host, a private washroom, and the choice of food and drinks from a new menu provided this season by Searchmont Resort – one of Ontario's premier ski hills and resorts. Groups are encouraged to take advantage of the flat fee for the entire coach to enjoy this memorable experience. Individual tickets can also be reserved as long as a minimum are sold per trip.
