The East Algoma OPP continues their investigation in the June 4, 2013 incident of attempted murder.
Two persons have been arrested and charged.
Charged with the following is Edmond Joseph Michael Fournier (35) of Elliot Lake.

Also charged with accessory after the fact is Kristy O’Brien (28) of Elliot Lake.
Both accused remain in custody awaiting a bail hearing in Sault Ste Marie on Friday, June 7, 2013.

ELLIOT LAKE - Officers of the East Algoma OPP have arrested Edmond Joseph Michael Fournier (35) and another suspect on the attempt murder investigation.
Both suspects remain in custody.

Original Wednesday release - OPP seeking Elliot Lake man for attempted murder
Request public’s assistance to locate
ELLIOT LAKE - On Tuesday June 4, 2013 at approximately 7 p.m. the East Algoma Elliot Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was advised of a stabbing which had occurred on Westhill Road in the City of Elliot Lake.
As a result of the ongoing investigation the OPP has obtained an arrest warrant for Edmond Joseph Michael Fournier of Elliot Lake for attempted murder and breach of probation.
He is described as a white male, 35 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160lbs, fair complexion with numerous tattoos on his body.
The OPP is requesting the community’s assistance to locate this wanted person but is advising the public that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
If seen do not approach but call 9-1-1 immediately.
Anyone with any information in regards to the whereabouts of Edmond Joseph Michael Fournier or with any other information in relation to this case is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
