The Kidz Summer Safety Festival is a family-oriented event designed to educate children on various safety and injury prevention topics geared toward summer activities.

The Festival teaches kids about safety strategies for all aspects of summer through interactive educational displays.

This year’s Festival promises to be a blast, and is offering over 21 exhibitor booths an inflatable park, a fire truck display, a school bus display, bicycle registration, face painting, and live entertainment.

Kids will have the chance to win some great prizes, including new bicycles, after they have learned about all of the safety topics at the Festival.

Families can enjoy pizza and refreshments while learning about the different summer safety strategies.

Admission is free and the event will take place rain or shine.

Organizations that will offer safety messages through their displays include Safe Communities Partnership, Algoma Public Health, Ontario Provincial Police, City Police Services, Fire Services, John Rhodes Community Pool, Electrical Safety Authority, Sault Search and Rescue, the Canadian Bush Plane, Canadian Red Cross, YMCA, First Student, City Emergency Department, Algoma Engineering Society, Child Care Algoma, Canadian Red Cross, Algoma Power, Canadian Power Squadron, Emergency Medical Services, Brain Injury Association and Phatboy Fireworks.

A big thank you to our sponsors Algoma Power, Algoma Public Health, Child Care Algoma, Ministry of Transportation, PUC Services, United Steelworkers, Arthur Funeral Home and Brookfield Renewable Energy.
