The local United Way is kicking off a new campaign to raise funds to help children and the disadvantaged in the Sault and Algoma.
The '100 to Give Club' asks local residents to become part of a select group making donations, that will then be matched thanks to a generous donor.
More details are in the news release that follows:
United Way Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District is thrilled to announce the launch of the 100 to Give Club campaign, an initiative designed to make a profound and lasting impact on our community.
At United Way, our mission has always been to improve lives and build a stronger, more united community. We focus on three essential pillars: Helping Kids Be All That Kids Can Be, Building Strong Communities, and Moving People from Poverty to Possibility.
In light of the unprecedented challenges our community has faced due to the pandemic, this campaign represents an extraordinary opportunity to create positive change.
The 100 to Give Club in a Nutshell:
- Community Unity: The campaign invites 100 caring individuals to become part of a select group, with each person making a $1,000 donation to empower our community.
- Doubling Impact: Thanks to a generous matching donor, every contribution will be matched, effectively doubling its impact. This means that a $1,000 donation will become $2,000 to support our mission.
- Transforming Lives: By joining the 100 to Give Club, supporters will not only make a financial contribution but become an integral part of a movement that's transforming lives and creating positive change in our community.

We invite everyone in Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District to become a part of this remarkable initiative. By joining the 100 to Give Club, you are taking the opportunity to be a hero of hope, making a significant difference in the lives of many.
We look forward to the support of our community as we work together to create a brighter future for all.
