VIDEO: YMCA members react to 'devastating news' about closure

The Sault YMCA made a stunning announcement on Tuesday: all programs are shutting down and the building is up for sale. SooToday spent some time outside the facility, talking to members about the looming loss of a Sault institution

As SooToday first reported earlier this afternoon, the local YMCA is shutting down all programs and putting the building up for sale.

Pending a last-minute miracle, the announcement marks the end of the YMCA in Sault Ste. Marie after 125 years in the community.

SooToday videographer Drew Armstrong spent some time today outside the Y, speaking to members about the shocking news.
