NEWS RELEASE

SAULT THEATRE WORKSHOP

*************************
The Sault Theatre Workshop is excited to announce audition dates for its March 2016 and Quonta entry show, Frozen, by Bryony Lavery, directed by Randi Mraud.

Auditions will be held at the Centennial Library, located at 50 East Street in Sault Ste. Marie, ON in the program room, from 7-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25 and Thursday, November 26.

Frozen, not to be confused with the children’s Disney classic, is the story of a missing child, a mother in mourning, the journey of when one sunny evening, ten-year-old Rhona goes missing.

Her mother, Nancy, retreats into a state of frozen hope.

Agnetha, an American academic, comes to England to research a thesis on serial killers.

Along with Ralph, a loner, they are drawn together by horrific circumstances.

This production requires two female actors and one male actor and a fourth actor to be determined at the time of casting.

Characters:

  • Nancy
  • Agnetha
  • Ralph
  • Guard

Rehearsals are slated to begin in early December.

This production will run from March 2-6, 2016 and will require travel in mid-March to be part of the QUONTA drama festival, this year to be hosted in Sudbury, ON.
