THURSDAY, AUG. 25
    •    Night at the Museum: Lego Star Wars - The Brickspace and the Sault Ste. Marie Museum invite you to visit your local museum (690 Queen St. E.) for a night of Star Wars-themed fun and Lego from 4 to 6 p.m. Admission is by donation.
    •    B.A. Johnston performs with local opener Dynowaves at the Legion Bar located downstairs in the Marconi Cultural Event Centre (450 Albert St. W.) Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are available online.

FRIDAY, AUG. 26
    •    Northern Vibe Festival happens on Poplar Dale Road north of Bruce Mines. The weekend-long event includes a variety of music, activities and vendors. For more information, please visit the website.
    •    Bone Yard plays Shooters Lounge, 68 Dennis St., starting at 8 p.m.
    •    Dorian Gray plays Reggie's Tavern, 458 Queen St. E., from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

SATURDAY, AUG. 27
    •    Clean North will host a mulch giveaway and cedar tree/native plant sale from 9 a.m. to noon at Lemieux Composting, 764 Black Rd. To reserve your potted Eastern White Cedar trees, please email [email protected]. For more information, visit Clean North’s website.
    •    The Downtown Sidewalk Sale happens at businesses located between Pim Street and Dennis Street and runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    •    The Art Hub at Spring (504 Queen St. E.) is hosting a local art show and sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    •    A Thousand Voices at the Cross - Join churches from all across Sault Ste Marie for an evening of praise and worship from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at 250 St. George’s Ave. with special guest, six-time Canadian Gospel Music winner Brooke Nicholls. Admission is free.

    •    Canadian rock legends, Anvil, perform at Soo Blaster, 345 Queen St. E. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance, or $25 at the door.

SUNDAY, AUG. 28

    •    The Great Bucket List Cycle in support of ARCH Hospice returns to St. Joseph Island. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Centennial Fairgrounds. The event includes 20km, 40km, 70km, and 100km route options. For more information, please click here.
    •    The bi-weekly Algoma Makers Market happens under The Rink at the Machine Shop from 2 to 8 p.m. The event showcases more than 40 local vendors.
    •    Tym Morrison plays Shooters Lounge, 68 Dennis St., starting at 3 p.m.

TUESDAY, AUG. 30
    •    The Lake Superior Watershed Conservancy hosts its Paddle and Pour event from 5 to 8 p.m. The Big Canoe tour of the St. Marys River will take participants on a journey along the historic water trail before docking at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre to enjoy a flight of beer (or cocktail) at the Northern Superior Tap Room patio. This event is open to those aged 19 and over. Limited tickets are available here.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 31
    •    International Overdose Awareness Day event begins at the Memorial Wall located at the Civic Centre at 5 p.m. The event includes guest speakers, and food and refreshments. Participants will walk from the Memorial Wall to the Bondar Pavilion for the event.
