Unique painting workshop happening June 3

IN YOUR EYES PRODUCTIONS

Join Artists Michael Burtch and Allison Huot as they guide Actors, Steven McCarthy and Jonas Trottier through a history of Mark Rothko for the upcoming In Your Eyes production of John Logan’s award winning masterpiece RED.

Participants will be guided through reproducing and learning basic techniques used by Rothko to create large scale paintings to be used in the production. Participants will be introduced to Rothko's history as well as musical influences prominent in his works.

Step back in time to the heady days when New York City was the hub of world art and Rothko was one of the brightest, and one of the most complex luminaries of that period.

June 3, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: New Theatre at St. Mary’s College (868 Second Line East)
All materials provided.
