Turns out, 'Amazing Race Canada' really did shoot here

And we're all invited to a screening of the episode

Remember that time earlier this year when Topsail Island was closed to the public so a crew could film what everyone in the community speculated was the Amazing Race?

Although permits and signage in the area indicated the production was shooting under the working title The Endurance, it turns out it really was Amazing Race Canada.

Now that the cat’s out of the bag, the public is invited to a screening of the episode filmed in our neck of the woods. Tourism Sault Ste. Marie will host a screening of the season’s second-last episode at the Machine Shop on Tuesday, Sept. 5. This free community event includes Amazing Race-like challenge stations, food and refreshments, and complimentary popcorn.

Doors open 6:30 p.m. and challenge stations will run from 7 to 7:45 p.m. Amazing Race Canada - Episode Sault Ste. Marie will air at 8 p.m. on the big screen.

Admission to this event is limited and will be granted on a first come, first served basis.
