From the team that brought you TOMMY, West Side Story, Cabaret and Noises Off! comes the Sault Ste. Marie premiere of a new Tony Award- winning musical.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is the tale of a troupe of misfit kids who have a chance to be winners for once in their lives at a local spelling competition.

Along with the actors, several willing audience members are invited to take the stage each night as they spell their way to hilarity. Funny, touching and fresh – this witty show has a big heart. It hits the stage at The Tech (the old St. Mary’s College) from Jan. 18-21, 2017 at 8 p.m. each night.

Admission is $30 for Adults, and $25 for Students/Seniors. Tickets are available at The Tech Administrative Office, by calling 705-542-2194, at shotinthedarkssm.com, or at the door for each performance.

Why not come early and make an evening of it? Show your ticket and receive a 10 per cent discount on your dinner at Santini’s Bistro or $5 off at the driving range in the newly opened Fairway Lounge. A cash bar will also be available before and during the show.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is the second in a season of three comedies presented by Shot in the Dark. You can catch the third show of the year, Young Frankenstein, at The Tech from Apr. 19-22, 2017 – tickets available now.
