C&O Fashion On The Ridge

Feb. 26

The C&O (Cities and Oceans) Fashion on the Ridge fashion show has been rescheduled to this Saturday, Feb. 26 starting at 12 p.m. at Embers on The Ridge. This promises to be a high-energy show with music by Bizick. Attendees will have the opportunity to save 15 per cent on their favourite featured pieces. Tickets for the fashion show are $50 each and include a complimentary cocktail and access to a buffet table. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Canada. To purchase tickets, call 705-255-6605. 

Karma Yoga with Strong Minds

Feb. 28

This is the last chance for local youth to join this month’s series of Strong Minds’ virtual Karma Yoga classes. The class will be held via Zoom on Monday, Feb. 28 at 12 p.m. and is suitable for all skill levels. This is a great way to keep active or learn something new. All you need is a mat and a quiet space. Registration and Zoom meeting information can be found online.

Virtual Paint with Janet - Arctic Beauty (Bob Ross Tribute)

Pay tribute to the legendary Bob Ross with this free virtual painting class held by Paint with Janet. Paint scenic mountains featuring the Northern Lights from the comfort of your home. You can follow along while you paint by watching the livestream on the Paint with Janet Facebook page. The class will start at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2. Make sure to have acrylic paint, brushes and a canvas on hand. 

That 70's Wine Pairing

Tempo Modern Mediterranean (450 Albert Street West) is hosting a 70’s themed event on Thursday, March 3 appropriately named “That 70’s Wine Pairing”. Dress up in your best retro or disco outfits for a chance to win a Tempo gift card. Chefs Brennan "Brickhouse" Cumming & Mark "The Man" Hohmann will take you back in time to the groovy 70's featuring their Slammin' Cheese Plate, Spicy Deviled Egg, Tempo Shrimp Cocktail, Chicken Vol Au Vent, Aged Swedish Meatball, Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Sorbet & Carrot Caramel, and Tempo Wine Pairings. The event starts at 6:30 p.m.
