Tarentorus 2nd annual Hogs and Gutters Tournament
Tarentorus' 2nd Annual Hogs and Gutters Tournament will be taking place Friday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019. Your tournament entry fee of $50 per person includes three games of bowling on Friday night at Northcrest Lanes and three six-end games of curling at the club on Saturday. Points are awarded for each win and loss and the team with the most points wins! Prizes will be awarded for the top three teams. Friday night's bowling includes pizza. We Will Remember Them
St. Luke's Cathedral presents An Evening of Military Music with the 49th (SSM) Field Regiment RCA Pipes and Drums and Branch 25 Royal Canadian Legion Band. The concert takes place Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. at 160 Brock St. Freewill offering in support of Veterans' Commemorative Monument Project.
Premium Comedy presents PETE ZEDLACHER
Versatile comedian, actor and writer Pete Zedlacher is a 20+ year veteran of the comedy scene and one of the premiere headliners in the country. Zedlacher, who proudly hails from Wawa, a small mining town in Northern Ontario, draws heavily from his Canadian workingclass roots. A graduate of the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, the intensive acting program helped him infuse a theatrical element into his stand-up. He'll be at Soo Blasters on Nov. 8 at 9 p.m. for only $20.
Great Soup Kitchen Sleepover
Can You Do It? Sleep from Friday to Saturday in a cardboard box to raise funds and awareness for homelessness and The Soup Kitchen. Bring your own box and pledges Friday at 4:30 p.m. and be creative as you want with the decorations. Be sure to bring warm clothing, blankets and supplies for making your box into a suitable shelter. Prizes will be awarded for a variety of box decorating categories. The site of the event will be monitored throughout the night by volunteers, parents of participants and the City Police. The Soup Kitchen will remain open throughout the night to provide live band performances, food and fun. At 7 a.m. breakfast will be served and awards will be presented.
Diwali: Light It Up
Come out and celebrate Diwali with us at Algoma University! This event is $10 per person and will include food, entertainment, and more! Doors open at 6:30 p.m. in Shingwauk auditorium!

Plaid and Maple Cookbook Launch and Signing
Hogan's Homestead Products launches a cookbook with everything maple from appetizers to desserts and everything in between, let their family recipes become yours. The launch and signing is a come and go style party between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. During the launch, you will be able to sample some of the recipes in the book, pick up your pre ordered book, have it signed, and purchase product and the cookbook on site and so much more!
Open House - Taoist Tai Chi
Join the Taoist Tai Chi Open House at 120 Cunningham street as they observe International Seniors Day on Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Learn about the benefits of practicing the Taoist Tai Chi Art. If you wish to participate in a few movements please wear loose clothing and bring indoor shoes.
7th Annual Holiday Gift and Craft Show
Now into our 7th year, our popular Holiday Gift and Craft Shows return to the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre, Nov. 2 and Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Nov. 9 and Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Many of your favourite vendors will be returning and many new ones for our Nov. 9 and Nov. 10 show. 100 vendors each day. All new vendors for the second weekend. Admission will be once again by donation in support of the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre. Door prize for each day and concession open for lunch and snacks. Vendors will be listed on website www.bushplane.com
2nd Annual Rocky Horror Picture Show
Have you ever wanted to experience The Rocky Horror Picture Show the way it was meant to be? Props? Costumes? A live cast singing and acting on the stage in front of the screen? Now is your chance! Do the time warp again at The Machine Shop for a one-night engagement. Saturday, Nov. 9, at 8 p.m. Seating will be limited. All proceeds going to Rainbow Camp - an amazing cause and tickets are only $30.
Victoria Presbyterian Church Christmas Tea
Saturday, Nov. 9, from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. join the Victoria Presbyterian Church for their annual Christmas Tea fundraiser. Visit, shop, eat, sip and be merry! The price for adults is $7, children ages 5 - 10 years are $3 and kids under 5 are free.
United Way Autumn Urban Trail Adventure
Looking for hearty souls to brave the gales of November and join a guided ride around Sault Ste. Marie's Hub Trail in support of the United Way. Rides will depart from Outspoken Brewing (350 Queen St. East) at 2 p.m. and should be finished between 4 and 5 p.m. There will be a snack stop (included) approximately half-way around the trail. Following the ride enjoy a post-ride beverage (cash bar) and snacks (included) at Outspoken. OFRA Ladies Auxiliary Christmas Tea and Bazaar
Baked goods including Finnish coffee bread AKA "pulla", crafts, knitted items and a light luncheon consisting of sandwiches, baked goodies and coffee or tea. Tickets only $5 per person and everyone is welcome! The tea takes place at The Ontario Finnish Resthome Association from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

YMCA Holiday Bazaar 2019
Come out to the YMCA gymnasium to visit with local vendors and artists, just in time for the holiday season! Entry by donation to the Strong Kids Campaign. Breakfast buffet will also be available. Sunday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
