Legendary 70s classic rock band, The Stampeders, to perform in Sault Ste. Marie at the Sault Community Theatre Centre

Originally from Calgary, The Stampeders – Kim Berly, Rich Dodson and Ronnie King – became a household name between 1971 and 1976 with four songs reaching top-30 in the U.S and 10 top-five singles in Canada.

Their triple-platinum single, Sweet City Woman, has since become a classic and a standard in the world of pop music. In a recent poll, it was voted one of the 10 most recognizable songs from the ’70s. Other hits include Carry Me, Devil You, Wild Eyes, Oh My Lady, Then Came The White Man, Minstrel Gypsy, Playing In The Band, Hit The Road Jack (w. Wolfman Jack), Ramona, New Orleans, Monday Morning Choo Choo, and Keep Me Running Wild, to name just a few.

The Stampeders have recorded 12 albums, many achieving gold and platinum status. Their most-recent album, Live At The Mae Wilson, is available on Marigold Records.

The Stampeders have won numerous awards, including Junos for Best Group, Best Single, Best Producer and Best Composer. Since reuniting in 1992, this classic-rock band has been delighting fans with their unique brand of musical entertainment.

With their inimitable musical style and subtle sense of humour, Rich, Ron and Kim are seasoned entertainers who always leave the audiences standing on their feet cheering for more.
