Superior Poetry Café welcomes Matthew Williams

Bayliss Public Library will host its next Superior Poetry Café on Tuesday, Mar. 7 at 7 p.m. The featured poet/singer/songwriter Matthew Williams, who was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie. He started writing music and poetry nine years ago when he first took lessons on the guitar.

Matthew has been a frequent participant in the library’s Poetry Cafes and workshops. He credits his experiences at the library for much of his success.

Several years ago, he performed on guitar with Detroit poet and musician M.L. Liebler at a library concert. Matthew performs locally, often with friends.

There will be an open mic after his reading/performance, where the public may read or perform their own work.
