New feature film, A Life to be shot in Sault Ste. Marie

Christian filmmaking comes to Northern Ontario

Sault Ste. Marie, ON, April 10 - Image One Pictures announced today that they are embarking on their first feature film project entitled A Life.

A production company specializing in Christian and family orientated content will be producing their character driven drama in Sault Ste. Marie, Onatrio and surrounding area over a period of 16 days commencing on July 7.

"This will be our opportunity to produce a quality Christian film that I personally believe will touch lives," says director and producer, CJ Zayachkowski.

Auditions will begin on April 26 and 27 at Algoma University in the Shingwaulk Auditorium at 1:30pm.

They are looking for actresses primarily in the 14-18 age range, but there are other minor roles for other age groups as well.

The story centers around a young 16 year old Christian girl named Janie whose faith in God is suddenly shaken when she learns her mother is dying from a rare form of cancer.

Dramatic and compelling, this story will keep people wondering right to the very end what will happen while at the same time teaching basic family values.

"It is my intention that this story touches people everywhere though it is primarily aimed at young people," says Zayachkowski.

The project is expected to be completed sometime in 2008 and hopes to have a limited theatrical run as well as releasing it on DVD in the spring of 2009.

The film will have a run through the film festival circuit to ensure maximum exposure.
