If you didn't get tickets for tonight's Soo Sings For Kids event, you're out of luck.

Tickets to this popular night of song and dance reportedly sold out last month.

This year's 3rd annual charity event, hosted by emcee Timothy Murphy, will see nine workplace teams compete in glee-like fashion in order to raise money for a children's charity of their choosing.

After working diligently for the last five months with dedicated dance and vocal mentors, each team will be judged by local talents Tracey Hilderley, Matthew Caruso and Greig Nori.

Participating this year are staff members from the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board, Children's Rehabilitation Centre Algoma, Algoma Public Health, The City of Sault Ste. Marie and Innovation Centre, Arthur Funeral Home, Francis H. Clergue French Immersion Public School, Sault Area Hospital, Algoma University, and Central Algoma Secondary School.

For the past two years, the Children’s Rehabilitation Centre's Team Ignite has taken home the first place grand prize of $5,000 for its foundation.

Other prizes include $3,500 for second place and $2,500 for third.

Each other participating team will receive $1,000 for their chosen charities.

Money awarded during the 2015 Soo Sings For Kids event goes to support Children's Rehabilitation Centre Algoma, Children's Aid Society scholarships, Canadian Tire Jumpstart program, Women in Crisis children's program, Easter Seals, Sault Area Hospital children and adolescent psychiatric care, Sault Area Hospital Pediatric Unit, Down Syndrome Association, and Brighter Beginnings Soup Kitchen Community Centre.
