Show Me Yours on MuchMusic.com with new fan-generated content

Razer and MuchMusic also announce content blitz of nine exclusive shows for on-demand, broadband video site MuchAXS

TORONTO, Nov. 1 - In the latest breakthrough for MuchMusic, fans now contribute on-air content they create by cell phone, webcam, or digital camera through Show Me Yours.

Fan-generated content can be uploaded and viewed today at muchmusic.com, for Much shows MuchAdrenaline and MuchOnDemand.

This announcement is joined by the launch of a crop of nine exclusive new shows for on-demand broadband video site MuchAXS.

"MuchMusic is the industry leader when it comes to using technology to engage audiences," says David Kines, VP music & youth services, CHUM Television. "Integrating fan-generated content with our on-air programming brings our online community even closer together."

"We've always engaged our audience by delivering the content they want in innovative, creative ways," says Maria Hale, VP content business development, CHUM Television. "It was a natural next step for us to create original programming specifically for our wired and wireless audiences."

Show me yours - fan-generated content

Show Me Yours makes fans part of the show by allowing them to upload videos and photos from their mobile phone, desktop, or straight from their webcam to MuchMusic.com, with the best clips airing on TV.

Once uploaded, this content becomes viewable on MuchMusic.com.

With Show Me Yours, anyone in Canada can be the star of their favourite program, and Canadians can see what other MuchMusic fans from across the country are posting.

This interactive application starts with a bang, with the extreme sports and music show MuchAdrenaline. For anyone who's ever watched a show and wanted to get involved, MuchAdrenaline - the show that takes viewers to the hottest events, profiles the biggest athletes and shows the latest gear - now gives them a chance.

Once uploaded, stunts can be viewed on the muchmusic.com, with the cream of the crop making it on the show, allowing viewers to share their most gnarly tricks with the rest of Canada.

Show Me Yours hosts user-generated content that integrates with other Much programming as well, including the daily fan and celebrity showcase, MuchOnDemand.

Now, viewers can make video requests and ask questions of MOD guests from their cell phones or home computers.

Show Me Yours is delivered with user-generated content partner Filemobile.

Original MuchAXS programming

Much proudly announces the launch of made-for-broadband programming for on-demand video site MuchAXS.

The first MuchAXS original is Headlines on Trial, an innovative spin-off of one of MuchMusic's top-rated shows, the witty and wild Video on Trial.

Starring the same cast of pop culture pundits you've
come to know and love, Headlines on Trial turns its critical eye to what's making news in the world of pop culture.

Headlines on Trial consists of two-minute episodes, posted every other week, of candid commentary, scathing reviews and tongue-in-cheek profiling.

Coming soon: Stay tuned to MuchAXS for additional original programming, including two new shows starring everyone's favourite crank, Ed the Sock.

Ed is living proof that good things come in small packages, making him the perfect candidate for snack-sized series FAQ You! and ED-Itorials.

In FAQ You!, Ed doles out advice for the technically challenged; in ED-Itorials he unleashes his inimitable point-of-view on the target of the day.
