NEWS RELEASE
ST. VINCENT PLACE
*************************
All members of the public are invited to the Senior Singers’ first-ever benefit concert on Tuesday, April 30 in support of St. Vincent Place.

The concert will be held in the St. Vincent Place banquet hall at 222 Albert St. E. at 2 p.m. Admission is by donation to St. Vincent Place – that can mean monetary donations, canned goods for the food bank, hygiene items for the men in the shelter, or clothing for the thrift store.

The Senior Singers have prepared an upbeat Spring program featuring show tunes, jazz, pop, and polka hits like When You’re Smiling, What the World Needs Now is Love Sweet Love, and Sunrise Sunset, to name just a few.

The Senior Singers have long been performing at local nursing homes, but have now decided to try putting their talents toward helping deserving organizations. St. Vincent Place is very grateful to have been chosen as the first recipient of those efforts.

In 2018, the St. Vincent Place shelter helped 404 men with emergency housing, the food bank helped 3,315 individuals, and the soup kitchen served 10,944 meals.

Anyone with questions about the upcoming concert is welcome to contact St. Vincent Place Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator Sara McCleary at 705-253-2770 ext. 4 or [email protected].
