If you’re an expert on all things Harry Potter and want to help support a good cause, an Evening at Hogwarts is having a Harry Potter themed trivia night on Thursday, Nov. 4. Practice and set up starts at 7:30 p.m., with trivia starting at 8 p.m.

An Evening at Hogwarts is a local non-profit organization known for hosting Harry Potter themed events to raise money for the Sault Area Hospital Foundation.

“All of our committee, in some way or another, has had someone close to us affected by cancer. This is why we’re willing to volunteer our time and are so dedicated to supporting those battling cancer in our community,” said Megan, from the An Evening at Hogwarts committee. “We are honoured to be able to work with the Sault Area Hospital Foundation and raise funds for their Cancer Care Fund to support their aim to deliver outstanding care, close to home.”

To participate in the trivia night, you will need a computer or tablet, and a smartphone. You’ll need one for Zoom and one for the Kahoot! App.

Compete with family and friends for 10 rounds of trivia – a total of 60 Harry Potter questions. The top three will win cash prizes.

Participants are encouraged to wear wizard attire or school robes and make a night of the event.

“When we first mentioned the trivia night, a lot of people expressed interest, so we are hoping to have at least 100 participants. The night will be full of laughs, fun facts and all things Harry Potter! It is sure to be a magical evening," she said.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online. Game instructions can also be found online. Cash prize winners will be contacted via email once the trivia is completed to ensure the top three is correct.
