Mannapool

Sault Ste. Marie’s Mannapool is one of 10 Northern Ontario finalists in this year’s CBC Searchlight competition.

The boys will battle others from across the region, including James A. Taylor from Kirkland Lake, Chanelle Albert from Verner, Engine House as well as The Society Of Enlightened Birdmen from Thunder Bay, Kenora’s Mike Procyshyn and Lonesome Boxcar, Telescope from Timmins, and three Sudbury-based acts - The Creek Stones, Blackwood Sinners, and Justine Giles.

Twenty-three regions from across Canada are represented in the 2016 CBC Searchlight competition.

Nine of each region’s 10 finalists were chosen by the Searchlight celebrity judges and industry panel members comprised of media representatives, publicity personnel, artist management and artists, including Dallas Smith, Sarah Blackwood and Maestro Fresh Wes.

The tenth finalist from each region was determined by popular vote.

The Searchlight judges and panel are tasked with selecting one finalist from each region, with the public choosing two others to move on to the national round.

Our prog rock quartet (Korey Deluca, Michael Dempster, Josh Ingram, and Daniel Kreutzweiser) needs the Sault to show its support by clicking here to vote for Mannapool.

Fans and supporters can vote once per day.

With each vote, participants will be entered into a draw to win a guitar and amp package from Yamaha Music Canada.

Voting closes for the regional round at 2:59 p.m. ET on Friday, April 29, 2016.

Mannapool is one step closer to being awarded the Seacrhlight grand prize which includes $20,000 worth of merchandise from Yamaha Canada, a recording and mixing session at Metalworks Studios, recording microphone package from Blue Microphones, a national publicity campaign from Red Umbrella PR, national radio promotion and tracking from Spincount, a professional photo session from Images With Impact, and much more.
