Rory likes his mustache. Kalle doesn't (photos)

Only two grievances were aired at Arcadia Coffee House during Sunday's Festivus celebration, both of which came from members of Kalle Mattson.
Only two grievances were aired at Arcadia Coffee House during Sunday's Festivus celebration, both of which came from members of Kalle Mattson.

Front man Kalle Wainio expressed his deep disappointment that no one attending the showcase of local original music bothered to bring their own Festivus pole.

Well, no wonder.

This website sells six-foot floor models for $39 plus shipping.

Pretty steep for an aluminum pole, no matter the strength-to-weight ratio.

And after the Festivus controversy in Washington earlier this month, many were most likely apprehensive to put their love of the made-up holiday on display.

The second grievance came from guitarist Rory Lewis [shown] who quickly grew tired of Mr. Wainio's constant jabs at his new facial hair.

Had Mr. Lewis lifted his head long enough during his band's performance, SooToday.com would have snapped a photo or two of the impressive mustache.

We think he may have kept his head down, transfixed on his massive array of guitar pedals in order to thwart our plans.

There was also a lack of feats of strength, which traditionally brings Festivus to an end when the host is pinned during a wrestling match.

Although not much of a Festivus celebration at all, the music provided by Brad Griffith, Retrofit Kettle, The Outside Lights and Kalle Mattson was an exceedingly enjoyable holiday experience.

But since no one was pinned, does that mean Festivus continues at Arcadia?
