Music fans, take note. West End Theatre Project has announced two shows for next year, one featuring old time rock ‘n’ roll and the other belting out dance floor hits.

Meanwhile, they continue rehearsals for their upcoming Christmas production of Elf running Nov. 30 to Dec. 4.

“We are thrilled at the success of our inaugural season and how well received the company has been by both patrons and businesses in our community,” said Lucas Beaver, artistic director.

The second season will feature two hit shows, as well as a cabaret series set to launch in mid to late 2023, the theatre project said in a news release.

First up is Million Dollar Quartet, running March 30 to April 1.

Inspired by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins, the Tony Award-nominated musical is set on Dec. 4, 1956, when an extraordinary twist of fate brings Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever.

Based on true events, the musical brings that legendary December night to life with an irresistible tale of broken promises, secrets, betrayal and celebrations that is both poignant and funny.

Relive the era with the smash-hit sensation featuring an incredible score of rock ’n’ roll, gospel, R&B and country hits, performed live onstage by world-class actors and musicians.

Showcased hit songs include Blue Suede Shoes, Fever, Walk the Line, Sixteen Tons, and more.

Hitting the stage in the fall is Priscilla, Queen of the Desert – The Musical, running Nov. 15 to 18.

Based on the hit movie, this musical is a heartwarming adventure of three friends, Tick, Bernadette and Adam, a glamorous Sydney-based performing trio who agree to take their show to the middle of the Australian outback.

They hop aboard a battered old bus (nicknamed Priscilla) searching for love and friendship and end up finding more than they ever imagined.

With a dazzling array of outrageous Olivier and Tony Award-winning costumes and a hit parade of dance floor favourites including It’s Raining Men, I Will Survive, Hot Stuff, and more, this fresh and funny musical is a journey to the heart of fabulous.
