Talent agency opens in North Bay to represent northern talent

Film actor Jim Calarco and producer Brigitte Kingsley are pleased to announce their new joint venture: North Star Talent Agency, a division of King Bee Corporation.

Due to the sudden growth in local film and television production, it was inevitable that a local talent agency would be needed.

Consequently, northern actors can now become a crucial part of this emerging industry.

Having a northern location where casting agents are able contact local talent will help not only the industry as a whole, but will also ensure that more principal and supporting roles will go to northerners.

The agency will organize training seminars and workshops to ensure that our actors have access to all the proper audition skills and materials necessary to compete with Toronto- and L.A.-based actors.

North Star Talent Agency is expected to be up and running within the next six weeks and is currently accepting pictures and resumes from local talent.

ACTRA members are especially in need.

Interviews to join the agency will be held in a few weeks and chosen candidates will be contacted directly.
